Our sourdough starter is a living culture that has been carefully maintained and regularly fed with organic unbleached all-purpose flour. Strong, active, and dependable, it’s the same style of starter we use in our own kitchen for naturally leavened breads, buns, crackers, and more.
Unlike commercial yeast, sourdough starter relies on wild yeast and beneficial bacteria to naturally ferment dough, creating deeper flavor, improved texture, and traditional slow-fermented bread.
This starter is beginner-friendly while still being robust enough for experienced bakers. With regular feedings, it can last indefinitely and become a lasting part of your kitchen for years to come.
Each starter is sold active and healthy with care instructions to help you successfully maintain and bake with it at home.
